by Asif Rehmani on June 29, 2010 | 16 comments

by Asif Rehmani on June 25, 2010 | no comments

I had the pleasure of meeting the folks from RepliWeb early this year. They gave me a tour of their application (RepliWeb Operations Suites for SharePoint – ROSS) and I thought it was Fantastic! So I decided to create a video explaining its functionality briefly and how it can help You in your business! Hope you love it as much as I did. Video on Using Content Types in SharePoint

by Asif Rehmani on June 21, 2010 | no comments

It is surprising to me how many companies are still not utilizing the powerful capability of content types in SharePoint. Just like every other capability in SharePoint, I believe in showing the power of it rather than just talking about it. So to that end, I have made the understanding and using Content Types video (created by Wendy Henry) available free on the site (it will be free until the end of this month). This video is for SharePoint 2007, but the concepts apply equally well in SharePoint 2010. Hope this helps.

If Customize Form button is not working in List Settings…

by Asif Rehmani on June 17, 2010 | 3 comments

The Customize Form button in the List Settings page lets you customize the list form using InfoPath 2010 (if InfoPath 2010 is installed on your computer and you are running SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise). If this button is not working, your site is not trusted by your computer and that’s why it is not letting you open up the form in InfoPath. Introducing Video Articles

by Asif Rehmani on June 17, 2010 | 1 comment

A written article can only convey so much information. As they say, an image is worth a thousand words. Building on that saying, my belief is that a video is worth a thousand images. At http://www.SharePoint-Videos.com, we have 174 videos so far (and more being added every week) which total up into dozens of hours of video tutorial based training. Since our videos are task based (about 8 – 12 minutes for each video), we needed a way to tie the videos together to have it flow like an article. In addition, we also needed a Wikipedia style way of …
